Other Counselling Agencies

Below are lists of counselling agencies and lists of private therapists. Some are open to everyone, some work in a particular geographic area and some offer counselling for particular issues.

We endeavour to keep this list up to date and it is regularly reviewed. However, things can change quickly so please check each agency’s website for more information.

Some of these agencies may be closed to new referrals, but plan to reopen their waiting lists when they are able. Please check with the agency for more information.

Alternative lists of support can be found at iThrive (Edinburgh), EastSpace, MidSpace and WestSpace (East / Mid / West Lothian) which regularly updates lists of counselling agencies.

We cannot recommend specific counsellors, but these directories provide lists of private therapists. Some may have a limited amount of reduced cost spaces or operate on a sliding scale.

Agencies are listed by where they are based. Some of these agencies will be open to clients living outside this area – please check the criteria with the agency.
