Attendance and Cancellation Policy

To ensure the effectiveness of our services, we have established an attendance policy to emphasise the importance of keeping scheduled appointments and the procedures to follow if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Importance of Attendance:

Regular attendance is crucial for your therapy progress. Consistent sessions enhance treatment outcomes, while missed or late appointments disrupt schedules and impact you, your therapist, and other clients.

Cancellation and Rescheduling:

  • Advance Notice: Please cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours before your appointment to allow us to manage our schedule effectively.
  • How to Cancel or Reschedule: Call or email us as soon as possible.
    • Contact Information: (07341 799506 / 0131 650 6696 or CPT@ed.ac.uk)
  • Vacations/Extended Leave: Notify your therapist at least two weeks in advance.

No-Show (DNA) Policy:

A no-show occurs when a client misses an appointment without notice. Missing three appointments without notice may lead to a discussion about discharge. It may be that this is not the right time for you to receive therapy.

Conclusion:

We appreciate your commitment to your therapy. Adhering to this policy ensures we can provide effective services to all our clients. Family/personal emergencies will always be taken into consideration. We understand that unexpected situations can arise, and we are here to support you through those times. Please communicate with us as soon as possible in such cases.

Thank you for your cooperation.
