CCRI Seminar: Moving Through the Grieving Body

This research seminar showcases the findings of the project Moving Through the Grieving Body, which developed an embodied model for bereavement support for LGBTQIA+ Individuals, using choreography and group work as a method of inquiry. ​

This project, conducted by mental health professionals and performance artists Edgar Rodríguez-Dorans, Lucie Sykes, Sylvia Hillman, and David Méndez Díaz, sponsored by the British Academy and the Leverhulme Small Research Grants 2023-24 Round, explores how movement and choreography can aid the grieving process for LGBTQIA+ people in a group setting.
