Health, well-being and mental health

Health and Support Information - Information about accessing NHS healthcare as a student, arrange learning adjustments if you have a disability, and find out how the University can support your health and wellbeing.

TogetherAll (formerly Big White Wall) - an online mental health and wellbeing support network available 24/7, guided by trained professionals: peer support, courses and self-care resources

Chaplaincy - a safe and welcoming space for people of all faiths and none

Feeling Good App - a self-help mental skills training programme teaching how to calm the mind and develop a positive mindset for increasing wellbeing, recovery from stress, worry and low mood, and for greater emotional resilience

Health in Mind Wellbeing Line - a telephone service for young people aged 16-25 living in the Lothians and Scottish Borders to speak about the impact of Covid-19 on their lives; Freephone 0808 801 0614 Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays 2pm-6pm, and 11am-3pm at the weekend

Nightline - a confidential and non-judgmental support and information service run by students for students, open 8pm to 8am

SilverCloud - online CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) programmes for depression and anxiety

Sport & Exercise - information on the University of Edinburgh's sport and exercise facilities, classes, workshops, courses, events, and support for physical activity

Student Counselling Service - support for students' mental health using short-term counselling, workshops, referral to other services, and self-help resources

The Advice Place - The University of Edinburgh Students' Association's service offering independent and confidential advice on academic regulations, money, accommodation, crime, harassment and complaints

Disability and Learning Support Service - support and advice for students with a disability, learning difficulty, or health condition that impacts on study

Student Immigration Service -  support for international students, advice on visas, information on opportunities to study or work abroad

Institute for Academic Development - study and research skills development resources and support for students
