Doctorate in Clinical Psychology students will be employed by a local NHS (Scotland) Health Board for the duration of the programme. The programme is funded through NHS Education for Scotland (NES) which pays university fees, trainee salaries and expenses in line with NHS policy. Salaries commence at the first point of Agenda for Change Band 6, regardless of previous experience. For all trainees, there will be a move to the next pay point on Band 6 after 2 years. Self-funding is not an option. All trainees are responsible for their own accommodation costs for the duration of the Programme, apart from those in distant NHS Boards (Grampian, Tayside and Dumfries and Galloway) who are given accommodation expenses in accordance with Agenda for Change terms and conditions during teaching blocks. Trainees in all other Boards are reimbursed for travel expenses to attend teaching on a daily basis in accordance with Agenda for Change terms and conditions.
