The School of Health in Social Science seeks to advance knowledge, innovation, and practice in nursing, health and healthcare around the world. We are a vibrant, interdisciplinary center of research and learning within the University of Edinburgh’s College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

Our school offers a range of programmes, for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. This includes two undergraduate programmes—one of which leads to professional registration in nursing. At postgraduate level, we offer advanced degrees in Clinical Psychology, Counselling and Psychotherapy, Health in Social Science, and Nursing Studies.

We also provide a growing selection of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses and online distance learning opportunities, designed to meet the evolving needs of healthcare professionals at any stage of their career and those seeking to advance their expertise in health-related fields.
