Book Launch: An Intersectional Guide for Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse and their Allies

About the Book

Few experiences carry more shame, stigma, and misunderstanding than the life-altering trauma of sexual abuse, especially for men. Too often, male survivors find themselves marginalised, isolated, and without the resources they need to heal.

Drawing on years of work with male survivor recovery groups, Jeremy brings together survivor testimonies, reflective activities, and practical tools to help men, and those who support them, navigate the aftermath of sexual trauma.

Through an intersectional lens, this book examines how sexual abuse affects men across childhood, adolescence, and adulthood, and how race, sexuality, disability, and class shape their experiences and recovery. It also explores why traditional systems often fail male survivors and offers alternative paths to healing through transformative justice. An essential resource for survivors and those who support them, it provides hope, guidance, and a compassionate framework for recovery.
