Digital technology and psychosis: what’s happening now?

Interested in psychosis? Wondering what digital technology can offer people who experience psychosis? Maybe you have some thoughts on how that technology might look like and, importantly, how we can best safeguard its use both now and in the future within the NHS? We’d like to invite you to an event where you can hear about these topics and share your views on future digital approaches to staying well and recovery.

Expect an afternoon of thought-provoking presentations as well as plenty of group discussions and the chance to ask our panel of speakers any questions you might have in this area. You will have the opportunity to hear about the EMPOWER study which blended a mobile phone app with peer support for people with experiences of psychosis.

This event is aimed at people in the NHS Lothian area including:

• People with lived experience of mental health problems, including psychosis.

• Those providing, influencing, or developing mental health services.

• Informal carers and family members of people affected by mental health problems.

• Academics and people with an interest in digital innovation in health and social care.

From the outset, Stakeholders’ (Users, Carers and Clinicians) voices and opinions have been central to informing EMPOWER so we’re excited to hear your thoughts on how EMPOWER will develop in the future.
