Refugees' exeriences of harmful alochol use: report launch

Funded by SHAAP, Dr Fiona Cuthill and Dr Steph Grohmann of the School's Centre for Homelessness and Inclusion Health, have produced a report assessing the experiences of, and perspectives regarding, harmful alcohol use among people seeking asylum and refugees in Scotland and England.

This study involved interviews with 20 individuals with current experience of seeking asylum in the UK, and 6 staff members working in third sector organisations, and makes strong recommendations for policy and practice.

The report launch will include a presentation of the findings and recommendations for policy by and will leave time for attendees to engage in an open Q&A session and discussion.
