We are delighted to have received a Silver Award in recognition of our commitment to advancing women's careers in science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine (STEMM). Athena SWAN Silver Award 2017 The School of Health in Social Science is delighted to announce that we have received a Silver Award in recognition of our work in progressing gender equality in the School. Since our Bronze Award in 2013, we have worked hard to improve the working culture in the School, progress students into academia and to advance careers for all staff. Our Silver Award recognises the development of gender equality in the School and we are now working together to implement the initiatives set out in our Action Plan.
