On the 24th October the Society organised a sponsored walk for society members, friends and Nursing Studies staff. Participants chose how far they wanted to walk and distances ranged from 10km to full marathons.

In total the Society raised £6320.75 from the event. To put this into perspective, £108 provides a parent/carer with regular peer support sessions for one month and £14 pays a trained helpline advisor for an hour to support, guide and advise individuals.

“As a society we were overwhelmed with the love and support for our fundraising and we want to thank everyone for walking, talking, sharing and donating, as this is a big step in being able to support more individuals and their families affected by eating disorders".
