In this special year, we invited Professor Roger Watson, Professor of Nursing at the University of Hull and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Advanced Nursing to give this prestigious lecture. As part of our celebrations of 60 years of Nursing Studies at Edinburgh we held the biannual Elsie Stephenson memorial lecture on Thursday 3 November 2016. This event is held in the name of the first Director of Nursing Studies at Edinburgh.
